at Stora Mossen in Stockholm |

Stora Mossen is a living allotment garden with old ancestry. |

The colonialists turned up with spades, rakes, baskets and |
| |
various tools. They went by tram to Fredhäll, walked over the |
| |
pontoon bridge to Alvik and further through the woods to the |
| |
farm of Stora mossen |

The year was 1915 and as real |
colonists they started to clear the |
ground, lighted a fire, plough, dig |
and plant. Already 1916 they |
started to build the first cottage; |
most of the cottage was built of |
wasted woods. |
