Bluenose Scala 1:65 Length: 76cm Width: 13,5cm Height 68 cm Bluenose was a schooner from Lunenburg, Canada, who became a symbol of Nova Scotia. Bluenose was launched March 26, 1921. She was built for fishing on the Grand Banks off Newfoundland and in the competition held between the fishing vessels on the return journey. After World War II, she was too old-fashioned for the fishery and sold as cargo ship to the Caribbean. She ran aground and was lost at Haiti in 1946. |
